About this place

Cross the towerless mountain bridge in Paju ✨

4.4 · 4,220 reviews · GOOGLE_MAPS

It is a towerless mountain suspension bridge connecting the Seolma-ri Valley severed by a road at the starting point of the Gamaksan Dulle-gil Trail in Paju! Have you ever crossed a bridge built completely without towers? ✨ It spans right across the valley of Mt. Gamaksan, one of the Five Great Mountains of Gyeonggi where dark and blue hues shine through the rocks. Check out the closest parking lot right next to the bridge when you arrive.

Follow the trail to find Ungye Waterfall dropping nearly vertically along Seolmacheon Stream, which is even used for winter ice-climbing training. 🌊 Trek further up toward Janggunbong Peak to spot Im Kkeokjeong Cave right below it, where legend has it that Im Kkeokjeong hid from government troops. You will also find the Gamaksan Monument standing proudly right at the peak. ⛰️

Standing at the peak near the frontline lets you look out over the Imjin River and Mt. Songaksan in Kaesong on clear days! 🔭 It is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00 year-round with free admission, so check the hours before you go and head right over to start your hike. Put on your hiking gear and set off on the trail today!

Bridge and Trail

It serves as the starting point of the Gamaksan Dulle-gil Trail and links the Seolma-ri Valley across a towerless structure. 🌲 Mt. Gamaksan gets its name from dark and blue hues shining through the rocks as one of the Five Great Mountains of Gyeonggi.

Peaks and Sights

You can walk past Ungye Waterfall dropping nearly vertically along Seolmacheon Stream, a spot also used for winter ice-climbing training. ❄️ Climb toward Janggunbong Peak to find Im Kkeokjeong Cave, where legend says the historical figure hid from government troops, and see the Gamaksan Monument at the summit.

Summit Views

The peak sits close to the frontline, offering sweeping views of the Imjin River and Mt. Songaksan in Kaesong. 🦅 Admission is completely free and the site stays open year-round from 09:00 to 18:00.
